| MCC Contracts is the contract mining division in the MCC Group of Companies. It was conceived in the mid 1980’s through a need to achieve better utilisation of the Plant Hire fleet in the midst of an economic downturn. The first contract was secured in 1985 in the platinum field. Soon further development followed in the chrome and gold mining sectors. Phenomenal growth took place in the mid 1990’s and again in 2003/2004. MCC Contracts has now placed itself at the forefront of the surface contract mining industry and is regarded as the market leader in terms of capability and expertise.
The company currently operates in South Africa and Namibia but markets itself throughout the Southern African region with experience in Zimbabwe, Zambia, DRC and Mozambique. Our strategic objectives include targeting opportunities in the energy sector. |
